We are pleased to announce that the Whitnall School District’s facilities referendum was approved by voters on November 5, with preliminary results showing 7,160 Yes votes to 3,944 No votes. This approval enables us to move forward with essential projects across our district, addressing infrastructure needs, expanding learning spaces, and creating environments that will serve our students for generations.
Superintendent Dr. Brady Reinke expressed his appreciation, stating, "We are extremely grateful for our community’s support and the productive conversations we’ve had about the future of our schools over the past several months. This referendum will enable us to provide students and staff with the modern facilities they need to succeed. We look forward to continuing this partnership as we move forward.
Board President Cassie Rainer echoed this sentiment, adding, “This outcome reflects our community's commitment to creating the best possible learning environments for our students. We are grateful for your trust and excited to bring these projects to life, knowing they’ll positively impact our schools for years to come.”
These projects were developed to address growing concerns about aging facilities, space constraints, and long-term capital needs. Groundbreaking is planned for early 2026, and we will keep the community updated on each stage of the process.
