Today is a day
No School Monday, January 20, 2025.
Due to the Whitnall School District being under an Extreme Cold Warning as issued by the National Weather Service, all district buildings will be closed Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Staff and students are not to report to their buildings and all after-school activities will be cancelled for January 21st.
Additionally, there will not be asynchronous virtual learning during the closure.
At this time, we anticipate school will resume as normal on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
Please stay safe and take precautions during this period of extreme weather.

Bye Bye Birdie: Youth Edition is looking for stage crew members! Stage Crew meets on weekdays from 3:15-5:30pm and could involve set building, painting, making props, costume management, or stage management. Strength and Conditioning training with Drake Sutton and Coach Vilar will continue this winter. Dates will be Wednesdays 3:05-4:15 from January 15 through March 19 (10 sessions). This is for any middle school student who wants to improve in any of their sports or just get a little stronger and faster. Each session attended will cost $10. Please send a message to Drake (drake.sutton@aretaspt.com) or Coach Vilar (vvilar@whitnall.com) if you plan to come to most of the sessions. We will meet in the STEM area in January and move to the Auxiliary gym in February and March.

Beginning the week of January 20th, an assortment of sub sandwiches, deli wraps, and yogurt parfaits will be available as lunch options in both lunch lines and can be counted as a meal. These options will be available on select days and signage will be provided in the cafeteria.

This is for any middle school student who wants to improve in any of their sports or just get a little stronger and faster. Each session attended will cost $10. Student Council is partnering with The Salvation Army by hosting a holiday toy drive at WMS all this week December 9-13. Student Council members will be standing at the student entrance each morning when the doors open with collection barrels to take donations. All toys donated must be new and unwrapped, and will be delivered to The Salvation Army Toy Shop to help children in need this Christmas. Any 6th, 7th or 8th grader interested in wrestling registration is open. It will close on Oct 22nd with the first practice on Oct 29th.
Any 7th or 8th grade boy interested in trying out for the boys basketball team registration is open. It will close on Nov 4th with tryouts starting Nov 11th.
No late registrations will be accepted. You will also need a current physical and the code of conduct signed by close of registrations. Any questions see Ms Sobush.
