Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: How do I know which classes I can take at a college/university?
A: Courses cannot be similar to a course offered at Whitnall and a student must have maxed out the opportunities at Whitnall first. Students are encouraged to contact the college or university’s Early College Credit Liaison and speak with them directly about opportunities at their school. We encourage students to write 3-4 alternate courses in the event their first choice class does not fit into their Whitnall schedule or is not available. Substitute courses not written on the application will not be approved.
Q: Is there a limit of credits a student can take through ECC or SCN?
A: Student may take up to 18 credits; no limits on the number of courses at a given time; however, schools may limit to 1 course at a time in most cases, 2 in rare cases with previous successful completion

A: Due to the FERPA laws Whitnall is not given progress information about the students in the class throughout the semester. Students are encouraged to show their parents information about the progress of the course.
