Athletic Trainer

Getting To Know Your Athletic Trainer : 

I am originally from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, born and raised (a graduate of Winnebago Lutheran Academy).  I completed my undergraduate degree in Kinesiology - Exercise Science, with a certificate in Athletic Training, at UW-Madison.  After graduating, I took a two-year internship in Cincinnati, Ohio, where I worked one year at the University of Cincinnati with several teams and the second year in a clinic with outreach to a high school.  This is where I discovered that I loved working with high school athletes and their families and becoming part of the community.  When the two years were over, I got married and moved back to Wisconsin. I was the athletic trainer at Shorewood High School before coming to Whitnall. I live in Milwaukee with my husband, son, and two dogs.

I work for Midwest Orthopedic Specialty Hospital (MOSH).  I am contracted to Whitnall High School to cover athletic practices and events and oversee the overall health of our athletes.  I work closely with the MOSH physicians and have a vast network of medical professionals to connect my families with for any injury/illness.  The orthopedic physician information can be found on the MOSH website (link to the right).  Whitnall High School's Team Physician is Dr. Sean Tracy, who graciously gives his Friday nights in fall to be on our football sidelines at varsity home games and all through the year, see any athlete or family member as quickly as possible.
