Coaching Bio:

Rachel Papez began dancing at the age of three. She was trained in all types of dance styles. She grew up as a competitive dancer, dancing at some of Wisconsin's top All-Star Dance studios, Starz Dance Academy, and Dollhouse Dance Factory. Rachel became a World Champion in Pom and a Bronze Medalist in Hip Hop. During her high school dance career at Muskego, she started her choreographer journey as a freshman. Since then, Rachel has worked with and choreographed for many local studios, teams, and schools. Rachel is overjoyed to have begun coaching the Whitnall Varsity Dance Team in 2022. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee with a bachelor’s in Community Engagement and Education. There, Rachel danced on the Milwaukee Panther Dance Team.

HOW TO JOIN

REGISTER on the Athletic Registration page on the WHS website.
TURN-IN a current completed and signed medical eligibility exam form signed by a doctor and parent. This needs to be uploaded during online registration in order to start practices.
PAY Athletic fee in Infinite Campus prior to participation ($100 per sport / $150 for football).

EQUIPMENT

To participate you will need Dance Caramel Jazz Shoes and Suntan Jazz Tights.

SEASON COMMITMENT

Dance is a three season sport that our team commits to. Meaning we have tryouts at the end of April, we start practices mid June and our season ends in the beginning of March. Our off season is during Spring and we do not require any off season workouts or/and open gyms.If you are interested in our workout plan that the team follows please contact whsdanceteam@whitnall.com.
